What Our Clients Say
Can’t say good enough things about this place. The service is awesome and it’s clear that their food is made with a lot of love.
The menu is massive, it literally takes up an entire wall in the restaurant. It was so hared to pick just one thing so my boyfriend and I ordered two of the 2 meat plates (because we wanted to try alllll the meats & sides).
We started off with the fried pickles – OMG. They’re perfectly fried with a light coating of batter around them, and the sweet onion remoulade they came with was out of this world. I would definitely order this again.
Our first plate consisted of pulled pork, fried chicken, baked beans, and sweet potatoes. The fried chicken was delicious – perfectly seasoned, fried to perfection, and not greasy at all. By itself, the pulled pork lacks seasoning, but the sauce they serve it with saves the day. The baked beans were some of the best we’ve ever had.
Our second plate consisted of baby back ribs, pork belly, mac & cheese, and cole slaw. I see some people commenting on how the mac & cheese isn’t salty enough, which I understand, but that was truly the only seasoning missing. I’d much rather something be under-salted than too salty. Other than that, it was AMAZING. Perfect cheese to mac ratio, and sooooo creamy. The pork belly and ribs were great – definitely recommend.
And to top it all off, we got the PB pie cup for dessert – if you have a sweet tooth, GET THIS DESSERT.
Wonderful service, home-cooked delicious food, and unbeatable prices. ($15 for a tray of 2 meats, 2 sides, cornbread, and 2 slices of white bread).
Just moved up from Kentucky, and I have to say that Red-Eyed Pig blew my mind. Thought southern BBQ would only be in my rearview mirror while in New England. The collard greens were on point. Don’t stop what you’re doing guys, it’s awesome.
